AARP runs an annual Purpose Prize, campaign, awarded to nonprofits and cause-based organizations that have been started by people ages 50 and older, who tap into the power of life experience to build a better future.
Winners and fellows have the option to take expert-led courses and programs in the fields of branding, social media, DEI, data and evaluation, leadership succession planning, fundraising strategies, and prospectus development.
Since 2018 Media Cause has lead the branding curriculum, helping up to 15 organizations per cohort define and refine their brand language including their mission, vision, values, as well as identify their target audiences, and tell a cohesive story to drive action.
Hire Heroes USA empowers U.S. military members, veterans, and military spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.
We developed and executed a full-scale, multi-channel fundraising strategy for Hire Heroes USA’s marquee campaign of the year, Veterans Day. We helped Hire Heroes to exceed their goal of raising $30k, getting them to just over $32k raised to aid their mission to support U.S. military members, veterans, and military spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.
For 50 years, Vibrant Emotional Health has been at the forefront of promoting emotional well-being for all people. They work with individuals and families to help them achieve mental and emotional well-being.
Vibrant partnered with Media Cause on a campaign to raise young people’s awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and its use cases, including general mental health resources and crisis support. In each campaign phase, we drove awareness of the 988 Lifeline and its new features, gaining 384 million impressions and giving vulnerable communities access to a free, potentially life-saving mental health tool.
Across platforms, our creative assets helped to tell a story of hope amidst struggle, guiding people to the 988 number, platform, and other resources. This increased tool favorability and website visits, leading to over 600k views.
